Answer : Research Topic: What Is The Role of Political Analysis in Nationalism Versus Globalization of Operations Performed By An Organisation? In order to conduct a research, I have worked on the concept of globalisation and nationalism to distinguish their role in operational performance of an organisation. Globalization, nationalism as well as the relations among both of these concepts is important to reveal among scholars especially within the international relations discipline (Witt, 2019). These two concepts have an important position in real and contemporary world, where importance lies within creation of nation-states and modern societies, including their role in organisation in which interdependence has increased. The main reason behind chosen this topic, is to understand how these two fundamentally concepts are yet opposed from each other, but still use for operating the business performance. As a matter of fact, it has been revealed that nationalism has had less important and a great deal of difficulty for survival of organization because it arise state of trade war among nations. However, it has also been states that nationalism also proves beneficial from globalization and also becoming equally important (Ariely, 2019). Thus, for exploring the relationship of nationalism and globalization, to address their impact on each other, I have conducted a research. This has based on how these concepts come in terms of interaction with each other, including the key aspects of their interaction. Conducting a research on these globalisation and nationalism, also essential to economically understand what are the main benefits people can gain by these two concepts (Pieterse, 2019). Therefore, to define the concept of both wide topics with their role in operating the organisation at global level, comparative research has been taken. By investigation on relationship of resistance as well as confrontation, it has been evaluated that nationalism is expected for losing out or eventually leaving the centre stage for other alternatives (supranational) which is required by the globalization (Witt, 2019). While on another hand, nationalism along with expectation to persist, also aid to increase and intensify in opposition and response to forces of globalization (Ariely, 2019). So, for designing comparative research on two these two concepts I gave chosen the two case studies of different nations. It includes the two biggest nations that are UK and US, where studying on impact of Brexit, political interventions on the operational performance of organisations has been evaluated (Chevalier and Buckles, 2019). While for US, how interconnectedness of organisations has not threaten the sovereign of this country has explored. Therefore, it has been identified through studying both cases that globalisation has reshaped the growing international interconnectedness due to tug of trade war. Through the article of Rosenboim, (2019), it has been evaluated that nationalism has helped the existing organisations to reduce the negative impact of globalisation by abolishing the national borders and undermining the democracy (Globalism and Nationalism, 2019). For this purpose, restrictions on trade between national and international organisations have been implemented by US president. While in context with UK, through the article given by Ghemawat and Altman (2019), Brexit is one of the main example of nationalism that changes the political environment of this country completely. It has much affected the organisational performance of companies in both negative and positive manner (The State of Globalization in 2019, and What It Means for Strategists, 2019). So, in both cases disputes between countries and their largest trade partners has been discussed that has helped me to reveal the role of nationalism and globalisation in organisational performance (Doran, 2019). Along with this, depended variable in cases of both countries is nationalism which is independent from globalisation, but affect the concept of each other in a wide manner. In case of first article major focus is given on understanding the benefits and limitations that companies of UK are facing due to globalisation. While article based on US, has revealed how political interventions or nationalism has vastly reduced the threat of sovereignty is discussed (Pieterse, 2019). These two concepts show that however both articles are designed to study globalisation and based on the concept of nationalism, but still structured in different way.
