Introduction Supporting a significant life event is considered as the most important aspect under which different groups related to families, friends and care home play a crucial role. This assists sufferers to tolerate the pain and come back to a normal situation of life where he or she can handle the personal life effectively. The present report is based on Janet's story in which his friend hurt him for no reason. It affected his life to a great extent and now, he is facing issues in relying on others. Furthermore, the impact of significant life events on individuals has been explained along with the analysis of possible group responses to the same. Furthermore, effectiveness of organizational policies and procedures for support of individuals are also explained. In addition to this, possible organizational responses to the need of people have also been analyzed. Task 1 Impact of Significant Life Events on Individuals The significant life events affect individuals to a great extent due to their social, physical and psychological impact. According to the given case scenario, Janet was in contact with his friend, Peter, who stabbed on his face without any reason. This shows both physical and psychological impact along with the societal changes (Bonanno, 2009). Here, he was in confusion whether to call the police for Peter's act or not. This shows that significant life events has a direct impact on the normal life of individuals as that person becomes helpless due to emotional and psychological motives. Furthermore, Janet faced emotional stress and started living far from Peter to search for a better life. According to the given case scenario the life even of Janet was not desirable as he got hurt from his dear one. Owing to this, he has suffered from high tension and stress in life. Such kind of event affect life of individual to a great extent. Furthermore, Janet has emotion and physical stress both as he started to keep distance from the social life. Though there were several relatives to support him still he started maintaining the distance. Moreover, behaviour changes were also seen among the Janet after the occurrence of that specific event. Furthermore, the nursing staff provides support to Janet to forget the incident and at the same time, his family members were also informed to take care of him. In this manner, health and social care members provide their extensive support to sufferers and other related people (Luhmann and et.al., 2012). For example, staff members of care home also get affected due to the action or significant life event of individual. They try their best to provide the right solution and fix the issues which are being faced by the individual. Moreover, some of the staff members are quite emotional who had to become strong by seeing such kind of situation of patients like Janet.
